Amor e Progresso

Spring Summer 2027 Show
The Spring-Summer 2027 Casablanca collection by Founder and Creative Director Charaf Tajer draws instinctive inspiration from the complexity of Brazil – the unifying celebration of carnival, the communal energy and passion of soccer, the tropicality of the jungle and the relaxed sensuality of the beach. Amor e Progresso – Brazil's national motto, from the flag, of Ordem e Progresso, reimagined with love.
The Spring-Summer 2027 Casablanca runway show takes place in an iconic venue: Espace Niemeyer at 2 Place du Colonel Fabien, the headquarters of the Parti communiste français and the only Niemeyer-designed building in France. In an inversion, his bold modernism is filled with vegetation, as if the nature of Brazil were transported across the world, brought inside and back to life. But this place too reflects the nature and evolution of Casablanca, and of Charaf Tajer – close to the quartier de Belleville, where Tajer was raised, it was a monument he passed growing up every day.
Sharp urbanity and the rich colors and textures of lush, tropical nature – the opposites that define the Brazilian landscape – are key visual references, punctuated by gestures to the sensuous curves of the iconic architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, 'sculptor of monuments'. Different worlds come together, tailoring with sportswear, the everyday with the extraordinary, structure with movement. Carnival energy runs through the collection – sequins and beads, fringe and tie-dye, tropical colour. No hierarchies, no rules – a fundamental philosophy of Casablanca.
