This collection, Venus as a Boy, is about reimagination. We take our name for the collection from the Bjork song of the same title, which in of itself points towards a reimagination of the idea of Venus, where Venus herself was a Roman reimagination of Aphrodite.

The Casablanca Printemps-Éte 2025 runway collection melds together an array of Los Angeles
inspirations to create a vibrant celebration of the icons, spirit and cultures of the City of Angels:
The larger-than-life persona of the Godfather of Funk, Bootsy Collins, is very present throughout this offering.
A host of ‘70s-inspired psychedelic prints and vibrant colours pay tribute to Collins’ legendary contributions
to the funk music scene—and, just as you’d expect, there are several riffs on the artist’s signature star sunglasses
and funkadelic top hats. The lowrider scene is celebrated with rich, embroidered fabrics, intricate patterns,
and customised detailing. Detailed, hand-painted prints rely on bold lines, cultural symbols and artistic storytelling
to riff on the impressive patterns that distinguish SoCal’s Mexican-American tattoo culture.
Echoing the unfettered, rebellious energy of Venice Beach’s skate and surf scene, the collection plays with relaxed fits,
graphic tees, and distressed denim, as graffiti prints and skate graphics evoke a retro, laid-back ‘70s surfer vibe.
This season also spotlights the refined stylings of Pat Riley. The transformative influence that the storied Lakers’ coach
had over ‘80s and ‘90s basketball style is reflected in the collection’s tailored sportswear,
sleek tracksuits and retro athletic silhouettes.
